The International Network for Criminal Justice (IN-CJ) is inviting contributors, associates, and partners from across the world to take part in our Quick-Fire Newsdesk 2025 – a half-day online gathering designed to share ideas, insights, and updates from across our international community of practice.
Thursday 4 December 2025 | Online | 13:00–17:00 (UK time)
This year’s Quick-Fire Newsdesk is all about connection. We’re bringing together practitioners, researchers, educators, and advocates to share what they’re working on, what they’ve learned, and what’s next for criminal justice practice and policy in 2026. The format is conversational and dynamic — short, focused contributions that spark dialogue and reflection rather than formal presentations.
We’re looking for contributors to offer short talks of around 10–15 minutes, either live or pre-recorded, exploring themes such as:
- New ideas or research shaping criminal justice practice.
- Community-led and restorative approaches to rehabilitation.
- Innovations in digital justice, education, or policy development.
- Mental health, wellbeing, and inclusion in justice systems.
- Emerging priorities for 2026 and beyond.
Confirmed sessions will be hosted and live-streamed on YouTube, with recordings shared afterwards on the IN-CJ website and podcast channels. Contributors will receive full support with technical setup, scheduling, and consent for online sharing.
To take part, send a short summary (no more than 150 words) describing your proposed topic and preferred format (live discussion or recorded contribution) to info@criminaljusticenetwork.net by Friday 15 November 2025.
The Quick-Fire Newsdesk continues IN-CJ’s commitment to open dialogue, professional learning, and cross-border collaboration — building a global network of practitioners working towards fair, effective, and humane criminal justice.
Join the conversation. Share your experience. Strengthen the network.
